A Personalized Ceremony

Sometimes called a “commitment ceremony” or “symbolic ceremony”, a secular wedding ceremony is a free celebration of the union between two people who love each other and have chosen to share their lives. It usually complements the civil ceremony and has no legal or religious significance. Therefore, it can be entirely personalized and created to reflect each couple.

Often held outdoors, these “American-style” ceremonies are very moving when they involve the guests. It is the role of the Wedding Celebrant (officiant/celebrant or “master of ceremonies”) to orchestrate this celebration and coordinate the participation of loved ones.
